Cloud Migration Roadmap

A 5-step migration program built around risk, not hope

We move critical infrastructure to the cloud on a fixed, rehearsed roadmap — with rollback plans, validation gates, and parallel operation at every stage. Zero business interruption is the acceptance criterion.

The Roadmap

24 weeks, five gated stages

Each stage ends with an explicit go/no-go review. You always know what moves next, what could go wrong, and exactly how we would undo it.

  1. Step 1 · Weeks 1–3

    Discovery & Portfolio Assessment

We map every workload, dependency, license, and compliance constraint — then score each service on the 6 Rs (rehost, replatform, refactor, repurchase, retire, retain).

Risk control: Zero-touch discovery: read-only analysis, no changes to production.

  2. Step 2 · Weeks 3–6

    Target Architecture & Landing Zone

A Well-Architected target design plus a Terraform-built landing zone: accounts, networks, IAM, guardrails, and security baselines ready before a single workload moves.

Risk control: Policy-as-code guardrails prevent misconfiguration from day one.

  3. Step 3 · Weeks 6–10

    Pilot Wave Migration

Two or three low-risk, high-visibility workloads migrate first. We validate tooling, runbooks, and rollback paths in production conditions with full observability.

Risk control: Pilot workloads are chosen for instant rollback; production traffic shifts only after soak testing.

  4. Step 4 · Weeks 10–20

    Wave-Based Production Migration

Remaining workloads migrate in dependency-ordered waves using proven patterns — database replication with tested cutovers, DNS-weighted traffic shifting, and automated validation gates.

Risk control: Every wave has a rehearsed rollback plan and a go/no-go gate owned by your stakeholders.

  5. Step 5 · Weeks 20–24

    Optimize, Harden & Hand Over

Post-migration FinOps tuning, resilience hardening, chaos testing, and enablement — your team runs the platform with our runbooks, dashboards, and SRE playbooks in place.

Risk control: Decommissioning of legacy estate only after 30 days of stable parallel operation.

Risk Mitigation Guarantees

Why our migrations never make the news

Rehearsed cutovers

Every migration window is dry-run in a staging clone before it touches production.

Rollback-first planning

No wave proceeds without a tested, time-boxed rollback path.

Parallel operation

Legacy systems stay warm until the new platform proves itself under real traffic.
